Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This policy explains how Openg Web Clipper (中文名:Openg 网页剪藏) handles information when you capture, edit, organize, and use webpage content with OpengSpace.
1. Overview
Openg Web Clipper lets you capture screenshots, extract and edit webpage text, organize saved content into collections, and open an OpengSpace chat experience using saved content as context. These actions occur only when you use the extension’s controls.
We do not sell or rent personal data, use advertising trackers, or build a profile of your browsing activity.
2. Information We Handle
Screenshots and captured images
When you choose visible-page, full-page, or area capture, the extension processes the selected image in your browser and uploads it to OpengSpace at your request. The latest capture may be stored locally so you can download it again.
Extracted webpage text
When you choose “Save webpage content,” the extension reads text from the active page and displays it in an editable preview. Text is sent to OpengSpace only after you confirm the save action.
Page metadata
The active page title and, when enabled or required, its URL may be used as source metadata. This information is not used to build a browsing history.
Collections and chat context
Collection instructions, generated collection details, and related saved-content identifiers are sent to OpengSpace when you use collection features. Chat with OpengSpace uses a short-lived context link displayed in a floating panel on the current page.
API key and preferences
Your OpengSpace API key is stored in Chrome’s local extension storage and masked in settings. It is sent only to OpengSpace API endpoints to authenticate actions you request.
3. Chrome Permissions
- activeTab: enables actions on the tab you select.
- tabs: identifies the active tab and limited source metadata.
- storage: stores your API key, settings, and latest capture locally.
- scripting: provides capture, text extraction, and the chat panel.
- notifications: shows operation success or failure messages.
- Host access: enables requested page actions and OpengSpace API calls.
4. Sharing, Storage, and Security
Content you explicitly save and authenticated feature requests are transmitted to OpengSpace over HTTPS. We do not share extension data with advertising networks or data brokers.
Local data remains in Chrome storage until changed, cleared, or the extension is removed. Uploaded content is retained according to your OpengSpace service and account controls. No transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Choices and Deletion
You can edit or cancel extracted text before saving, update or remove your API key, clear Chrome extension data, or uninstall the extension. You can manage uploaded content through OpengSpace or contact support. Removing the extension does not automatically delete content already uploaded to OpengSpace.
6. Children’s Privacy
The extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when the extension or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
